1. General
MarketHub.Yorkshire ("the Service") is a local classifieds platform and business directory for the community in Yorkshire (UK). By using the Service you accept these Terms.
2. User account
Registration is free. Users must provide accurate information and keep their password secure. One account = one individual or legal entity.
3. Adding businesses
By adding a business you confirm you are authorised to represent it. Business details (address, phone, description) must be true and current. Logos and photos must be free of third-party rights.
4. Adding listings
Listings must relate to real items or services. A correct category, description and — where applicable — price are required. Photos must depict the actual item.
5. User responsibility
Users are fully responsible for content they publish, transactions they conduct and contacts with other users. The Service is not a party to transactions.
6. Prohibited content
The following is prohibited from being published:
- content that is illegal under the laws of England and the United Kingdom,
- offensive, discriminatory or hateful content,
- spam, duplicated content and false listings,
- weapons, drugs and counterfeit goods,
- content infringing copyright or trademarks,
- personal data of third parties without required consent,
- listings relating to the sale or offering of live animals where the sale or offering of the animal is unlawful or requires a licence, permit or other authorisation that the user does not hold.
A user offering live animals bears full responsibility for ensuring the listing and transaction comply with applicable laws concerning animal welfare, sale, breeding, ownership and transport of animals. Where an activity requires a licence, the user must hold the appropriate licence before publishing the listing.
MarketHub.Yorkshire reserves the right to remove or block any listing relating to live animals in case of suspected breach of law, these Terms, or lack of required authorisation.
MarketHub.Yorkshire allows listings for non-commercial rehoming and occasional private transfer or sale of animals, provided such listings and transactions comply with applicable law.
Selling animals as a business activity may require an appropriate licence. The user is responsible for holding the required licences, permits and documents, and for ensuring the listing complies with applicable law.
MarketHub.Yorkshire may request additional information or documents and may remove a listing where there are reasonable doubts as to its legal compliance.
7. Moderation
The Service team may moderate content: edit, hide or remove listings, businesses or reviews that breach these Terms — without prior notice.
8. Suspension and deletion
Accounts may be suspended or deleted for repeated Terms breaches, impersonation or actions harmful to other users.
9. Disclaimer of liability
The Service only provides a technical platform. We are not liable for the quality, legality or safety of offered goods or services, nor for the outcome of transactions between users.
10. Intellectual property
The brand, logo, layout and code of the Service are protected by copyright. Users grant the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and process their content for the purpose of providing the service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
